Feature assignment, San Bernardino Sun~The clown is a fixture at the modern rodeo, lending a light-hearted humor to a dangerous sport. Gayle says a clown not only has to be funny but must be a “damn good bullfighter too”, as one of their jobs is to distract the bulls if a rider goes down in the ring.

~Intended for artistic effect, the unrealistically large image of the moon was captured separately in a “double exposure”. In the days before Photoshop, this technique was used to create composite images by exposing the same frame of film twice.
